Look, Roberto's is fairly decent among the 'bertos and has pretty good hot sauce, but this is like the third time I've gotten rolled tacos that arrived like this. Are you kidding me!? $6 for dry rolled tacos? I was already on edge about this place because their hours suck, this might be the last time I patronize. The people have always been pleasant, the food is consistent, but this is rediculous. Cancun, about 1000 feet down the road next to the 7-11, is excellent. You had one job!
MoreI am the type of person that finds something on the menu I love and I rarely deviate from it. The California burrito is that thing here. By far the best California burrito I have ever eaten. Paired with the red salsa available it is heaven on Earth.
MoreFantastic food. A must stop when you are in the area.
Mexican fast food chain that serves it up quick and cheap.Parking out front no problem.
MoreBest Arizona burrito in town! The service is always great and fast! I also love their breakfast burrito!!!
MoreGreat food and tables plenty of parking in the back. On the coastal hwy. In leucadia
MoreDelicious, value-priced authentic Mexican eats. Perfect location for a beach day.
MoreIf you're very hungry and you like basic Taco Shop food you'll like this place. It's the type of Taco Shop that keeps it safe for the locals. And caters to that person that doesn't take Salsa with their food (looking at you Travis). It's too expensive and the flavor underwhelming. Who only puts one Tortilla on a soft taco? It's a law that Tacos require two if you're going to load them up.
MoreIt wasn't authentic enough for me.
Absolutely a place worth trying, the food is awesome and well prepared, the rates are fair and it is consistently clean here. Keep it up.
MoreGood burritos right by the beach. The red and green sauce are both excellent.
The portions were tremendous , 3 dollar tacos with a ton of meat and great flavor. Both homemade hot sauces had a lot of kick, you will not be disappointed. Also the guac clearly is made with care and the portion is quite large and delicious.
MoreGreat carne asada. Doesn't give me heart burn. My friend told me they gave him food poisoning with the shredded beef tacos.
MoreDelicious food and quick
Great carnitas burrito
Roberto's has some off the best food in san Marcos there breakfast burritos are bomb
MoreGreat refried beans! Service is great!
Pretty good food for okay prices.
I got a Cali burrito with chips and salsa and it was very salsa and chippy, decadent.
MoreWe drive from Beaumont just for the fish tacos
Quick and friendly service. Tasty.
I love Robertos! I walk here for lunch often. I always get the chicken tostada which is so good! Fresh, and the chicken is good, white shredded chicken pieces. So good! And great prices!
MoreWhen ever I travel, this is one of the first meals I have upon returning home. I've been eating at Roberto's for 40 years (Solana Beach and Carlsbad). The Machaca Burrito is my go-to, but the rolled tacos with everything is also excellent.
MoreFish tacos where great and both red and green salsa was on point...
Wonderful, authentic place serving delicious Mexican food. Great staff, cute location in an old house, right on the 101.
MoreGreat burritos. Super convenient location. A clear winner when it comes to California burritos.
MorePretty good tacos. It is close to our house so we get takeout from here quite a bit, sometimes once or twice a week. Friendly people, decent food and super convenient. I generally get the tacos or the burritos, I haven't tried anything else on the menu.
MoreThis is our favorite after work stroll along this beautiful beach. Look for rocks and shells...watch surfing. Never crowded in the late afternoon. Very nice.
MoreAlways a stop when in Carlsbad.
Best fish tacos!! And Carne asada fires to share. Love to go there when I’m in town. I do recommend you call your order ahead because their usually busy and don’t have a drive thru. But worth the wait. Friendly staff the green sauce is the best. A plus right next to the beach. Mask is required.
MoreThis spot is worth visiting. They have big portions for reasonable rates. Regularly clean and with good mood. Will come visit again.
MoreLove these Asado burrito. Great people
Good food, good price.
Portions were substantial. Chorizo was not greasy. Note that if you want potatoes in your breakfast burrito like I do, there is an extra charge. Pro tip: if you order before 10:00 a.m. there's a 10% discount. Parking is a little confusing. During Covid the nearby offices are not occupied, therefore you shouldn't get towed or hassled. You can park at the driveway before you turn in on the dirt. There's also parking behind. Would and will definitely go back next time I'm in town.
MoreSuper friendly staff, tacos were good
One of the best places to get shredded chicken tacos with the corn shells deep fried. A can't miss when I visit the San Diego area. Only wish they carried Coca Cola products instead of Pepsi, but definitely not a deal-breaker.
MoreHad the Shrimp Burrito and it was Excellent. Fast friendly service.
Great salsas and bean and cheese burritos
Authentic Mexican fast food. Will make any entre (within reason) to order. Solid stop after a surf session for the breakfast burrito.
MoreWe got a variety of foods and everything was awesome. Fresh, tasty, homemade chips, all with fresh ocean air. Reasonable prices for quality Mexican food!
MoreThis place is excellent! The food alone gives them 5 stars. VERY affordable and EXTREMELY tasty! Service is ok, nothing to complain about from our visit. We had the carne asada plate and the South of the border meal; both were delicious! Just a side note: parking and seating are limited and I can see how they get busy (the tacos are bomb!), so be prepared for that.
MoreThe service at the place was very nice. Staff answered our questions about items on the menu knowledgeably. The only con about the place is that there is no bathroom or place to wash your hands, so I recommend to take your food to go. All in all, good experience and good place to get authentic Mexican food.
MoreConsistently a local and visitor favorite! Portions are HUGE and the prices are affordable. Be prepared because there is usually a line but it goes fast and it is worth it as everything is made at time of order. California burrito is a Leucadia staple - a MUST try!!!!
MoreBest carne asada fries I've ever eaten! Great rolled tacos too! Very fresh and flavourful.
MoreNothing great. No drive thru which kinda is a pain in the butt with all the masks needed. Decent prices.
MoreHanging out at Ponto on the weekend . We didn’t pack a lunch and didn’t want to loose out parking space to grab a bite . So we walk , hop, skip and a jump to Robertos , the hard shell taco are the way to go ‘
MoreLove this place. Fish and shrimp tacos are delicious! Their homemade sauces and gauc are great!
MoreI thought id try Robertos one more time. It had been a few years and thought maybe they got things straight.. Nope! So because of a "meat shortage" their Carne Asada tacos are now over $5 each. A tiny little $5 taco. Only Robertos would pull some s&it like that. If you want some good Mex food go to Juanitas, Karinas, Tonys Jacal, even the Taco Stand. Robertos was great in the 80's and 90's until it became so corporate. It was $49 for 5 tacos and a burrito. What a joke.
MoreThis location is absolutely inferior to the one on El Camino. They have never gotten my food right at this location. I ordered a scrambled breakfast burrito today, emphasis on scrambled. The eggs were burnt and all in one rolled up flapjack. The burrito was not remotely anything like it should be. The El Camino location has cooks who pay attention and make the food right.I have been eating at Robertos daily. Probably will not be able to eat Robertos for a while until the location that gets orders right opens again.
MoreGreat breakfast and crunchy tacos...
